What follows are instructions for building and installing MySQL 5 on Mac OS X. These instructions should work perfectly on both Tiger and Leopard. If you’re a pro at this type of thing already, if you’re impatient, or just feeling lucky, you can download the basic install steps as a shell script and give that a go.
